With one week left to go til our special day, I want to start sharing some details of my wedding day, including bridesmaid & groomsmen proposal gifts.
At the time I shared my bridesmaid proposal gifts on my Instagram, I got such positive feedback that I decided I want to share more about my choice. I’ll be giving all the deets on the proposal gifts we gave our bridesmaid’s & groomsmen, plus other ideas you could incorporate as you think about what to gift your bridal party.

Time to get into a little back story. Selecting the bridesmaid proposal gifts were a big deal to me. I wanted it to be special, but also relating to our wedding in some way. I also wanted it to be sentimental yet useful, not something that collects dust. So, I began my search for ideas and after having about 100 tabs filled with options, I finally made the decision when I came across these beautiful wooden personalized hinged wine boxes on Etsy here. I saw it and said yep! This is it. What I loved the most about these boxes is that I was able to etch a special message on them and I loved the look of the clear acrylic lid, which again, could be customized.
But, it wasn’t just that. Of course, I had to do some personalization to it to make it mine. If you’ve been around for a while you know that I loveeee me some personalization. Once I added that last touch, it definitely completed it for me.
Once I received the wine boxes, I had to fill them with the wine bottle, as it came without it. I decided to use the wine bottle for the proposal, so I got these custom wine labels on Etsy here. The labels replaced having to get a card that would have the proposal messaging to each of my bridesmaids. A lot of these shops on Etsy have their ready made notes, signs, etc. But, I’m so picky (or like to give myself extra headache) that I request extra customization each time. I swear, if I had these machines, I’d go CRAZY with customization! hahah.
Anywho, I loved the way it turned out after putting it all together!! My girls loved them and all enjoyed their bottle of wine and can use these wooden boxes in the future to store wines or whatever they’d like in them.

Groomsmen “Proposal”
You know, guys don’t really do this. But I had to butt in and suggest to Robert that we should. I found great options similar enough to my bridesmaid gifts, shared them with him and let him choose his favorite. So for the guys, I wanted a box of some sort too, and guys! I found the cutest little cigar wooden boxes. The exact ones are unavailable but I linked similar here and here.
The cigars don’t come with these so don’t forget to get the cigars to place in the boxes, but you could also get a card that asks the proposal question, similar to this. Then, that’s it!
