If you’ve never had cacao, açaí nor goji berries I’m so excited to entice your taste buds with this superfood smoothie bowl recipe. Navitas Organics created this amazing antioxidant blend that includes all three of these ingredients. I decided to create a smoothie bowl and add my favorite toppings, making it that much more delicious. But first, I want to break down these superfoods and their health benefits so you know what they are are about!

So let’s start with cacao. Cacao is chocolate in its raw, purest form. It is derived from cacao beans. It is known as a heart opener and carries numerous health benefits. Here are a few below:

  • High amounts of iron and magnesium
  • Contains calcium & lots of antioxidants
  • Boosts energy & mood
  • Natural aphrodisiac

Next, is açaí. Açaí berry is a reddish-purple fruit that grows on palm trees. It is a superfood known to be loaded with antioxidants, like cacao, and contribute to health improvement. Below are some of the benefits:

  • Improve mental health
  • Regenerates damaged skin cells (healthy skin)
  • Balances cholesterol and blood pressure
  • Helps digestion & aids weight loss

Lastly, goji berries. These are an ancient red fruit packed with antioxidants and powerful healing properties, such as:

  • Provides immune support
  • Supports healthy eye function
  • Supports a healthy liver
  • Helps lower stress & improve sleep

Now that we got that covered, let’s get into this delicious cacao + açaí + goji berry smoothie bowl recipe.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 – 1 cup Oat Milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 2 frozen ripe bananas
  • 2 Tbsp Navitas Organics Cacao + Goji + Acai powder
  • Pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt

Toppings

  • Navitas Organics Goji Berries
  • Navitas Organics Cacao Nibs
  • Honey Almond Granola
  • Strawberries
  • Chia seeds
  • Agave drizzle 

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients: milk, frozen mixed berries, frozen ripe bananas, cacao + antioxidant powder and a pinch of himalayan salt to a nutribullet / blender and blend until consistently smooth.
  2. Start with less milk, and gradually pour if the smoothie is too thick. 
  3. Pour into a bowl and decorate with the toppings suggested or your toppings of choice. Have fun with it!
